Nursery

At Calvary Chapel, we use a check-in program to help us track attendance, have a roster for emergency protocols, help us correctly identify children/authorized pick-ups, and alert us to any allergies. Parents/adults will check-in their children each Sunday and Wednesday at the Check-in kiosk in the nursery/ preschool hallway.

If this is your first visit, your family information will be collected and retained to help provide a simple check-in at your next visit.

Once checked-in, a label will be printed for each child, and a label for the adult/parent. please attach the appropriate label to the back of the child.  This label specifies allergy information, classroom location, adult/parent name and phone number to reach adult/parent if needed, date and time that will be used during the check-out process.  

Please be sure to keep the adult/parent label! The labels are required at the Check out stations for dropping off and picking up your child. (For more information on Check-Out, see the Check Out Procedures section below)

We aim to make this as easy as a process as possible! Greeters are available to help with the registration process.     

Once your child has his/her label on, a greeter will escort your child to the appropriate classroom. If it is a first time dropping off, a background checked greeter will escort one parent along with the child. (This is the only time a parent will be allowed to enter the nursery, for security purposes.) The teacher will greet the child at the classroom door and check the child's label.

Check-In opens 15 minutes prior to each service and ends 15 minutes after service has begun. Our nursery is secured behind a locking door during services for the safety of all in the nursery. If you arrive after our greeters have gone on to service, you will be asked to wait until the next Check-In time. (Your children are welcome to join you in service or sunday school while you wait for the next check-in.)

Check-out begins once service has concluded. Please be courteous to our volunteers and pick up your child promptly at the end of the service.

Proceed to the kiosk of the Nursery/Preschool hallway to pick-up your child no later than 15 minutes after service/event ends and present the label you were given at check-in to the greeter.

At the kiosk, the greeter will check the parent/adult label before getting child with matching label.

The parent/adult label may be transferred to another adult to pick up child (grandparents, etc.) if this person is not listed as an authorized pick up then a greeter will call the parent listed to get a verbal confirmation of pick up. 

If the parent/adult loses the label, a church staff member will be notified. The registration information will be checked to confirm the authorization to pick up the child, and identification will be required.
